GREAT MOVIES that Tomato & Popcorn Meters Forgot - Surprizing great films with Low Ratings by critics

I am always looking for great films which the critics did not like / Low Ratings by critics
- GREAT MOVIES that scored low on Tomato & Popcorn Meters
FUN Entertainment topic - Understandably not everyone will agree and that is okay - No need to argue. Everyone is allowed to participate without criticism
I am not a fan of Horror Films other people love them; So
1) if Each Entry can have standard film type as the first word
And since there are so many remakes or dup titles
2) if you could put the year in second
A comment: Your Insight why its great
3) If you could say something about a film that makes it great
So this thread is not for the classics / Rated High by critics
Example of what I am Looking for - A film not so well rated Tomato 53/40 Popcorn meter
- The point of this forum is to find those hidden films that are Great
Film Category - Year - Title - Comment
- Thriller/Romance - Tequila Sunrise - 1988 - Just love the characters Michelle Pheiffer is Amazing, Whitty, & Sexy... great story Raul Julia, Mel Gibson, & Kurt Russel were all great
Additional examples - of Classics Films most everyone is familiar - These are films we do not need in the forum as the critics have given them high ratings
Film Category - Year - Title - Comment
Horror - 1983 - Cujo - then what you loved / why your recommending
Action - Top Gun - 1986

No One Lives (2012)
For me, it's a cult classic. If you like the John Wick franchise then you might like it. Luke Evans
plays a mysterious driver who kidnaps an heiress and gets into it with a bunch of thugs. I like movies
where it doesn't quite follow the standard plot formula. Really wish there had been a sequel with a
bit more backstory on the connection between the driver and the heiress. Not too much though.
I stopped reading critics' reviews many years ago and since then mostly looking up for viewers' ratings and insider industry polls and opinions.

Event Horizon (1997) [imdb.com]
An absolutely terrific movie, a classic in all regards. Has the 20% rotten at Tomatoes top critics...?? Just pathetic...

Of course, there are many more interesting facts about this movie than covered in these articles, but that is probably beyond the topic of this thread.
There are a few exceptions, for sure. One of them is our own SD movie critic and collector, Dirk Belig.

(though, on the other hand, he is too... mmm... a bellingerent one)
