Its a reasonably capable device but this is not worth the price, at the same price you can get a Ryzen 7 5000 series MiniPC new retail, or one of the 6000/7000 series minipcs on Sale or Refurb right now for like $10-30 more. They really should be recyling these boards by putting them into NAS builds to make high powered nas stations.

You can usually find this one or the acemagic one on Amazon for ~240 or so with one of those checkbox coupons. Give it a week or 2

the cpu came out in 2019 is 10-15% slower than a Ryzen 3 7320u (according to Passmark), which laptops regularly goes for $200-$250. The vega 10 might be faster than the 7320u's 610m, but both are very weak to start with

5800u (8 core/16 thread)scores well over 18000+ in Passmark, versus only 8075 for the 3750h4 core/8 thread). Power draw for the 5800u is only 15 watts versus 35 watts for the 3750h. The 3750h should be priced slightly above intel n100 systems since it's very old technology.

My guess as to the timing is the manufacturers are trying to entice people who may not be able to easily upgrade their older non-gaming Windows 10 desktops to just bite the bullet. For anywhere between $130 and $300 you can get Mini PC that performs pretty decently with specs from the last couple of years with either 8-16GB of RAM and 256-512GB NVMe's which you can expand a bit.
Not everyone wants to get a budget laptop if you already have a good keyboard, mouse, monitor, etc.

Theyre really popular rn, and also if you looked it up once the SD algorithm and cacheing got you. These AMD miniPCs are so powerful and cheap rn its kinda nutty

I think they're trying to clear a lot of old stock to make way for devices built on the new Ryzen AI chips. Those newer chips are quite capable gamers at 1080p, and once they hit the market in volume nobody is going to want this older stuff. There are a few devices on the market now with the HX370 chip that are around $1000, so there may also be a desire to take advantage of people who never considered a mini-PC before but are intrigued by the new devices, but don't want to drop $1000 on one.

Nice. Might also get some bonus malware with the Acemagic/Acemagician/Kamrui package. Slick deal 😉

And this gmtek would be any better? Not really a useful comment. Next time you should just say, make sure you wipe the included OS and put your own on.
