Internally? Don't, just get a SATA SSD. You can get PCI-E cards that you can mount nvme SSDs to, but I don't know if you can use them as a bootable system drive. My desktop has a 4770K in it, so I can relate. SATA SSDs will be plenty fast.

Whenever these drives are posted to reddit you can find a lot of people down voting for not being a reliable drive, failing in a year or less. There's a reason these are so cheap.

No offense why would you want this on a 7 year old pc? Just use a regular ssd prob the same price

I just ordered a 512GB "Graphene Cooling" version myself for $24, but then I scrolled down to NewEgg's ShellShocker deals for tomorrow, and see the 512GB model appearing there. So theoretically, the 512GB version might be a bit cheaper tomorrow...

if its just as a secondary drive, then you need a pci-e slot to m.2 nvme adapter

if you're looking to use the ssd as a BOOT drive, you also need to mod your bios with an nvme driver. which is doable, but a very advanced thing to do that can brick your computer if done improperly

Maybe they are out of sata ports.

The pci-e adapters are cheap enough that it doesn't matter.

M.2 tends to have more up to date components unless you pay double for Samsung.

That being said it may not boot off pci-e, depending on bios.
