The Specialty Coffee Association publishes a list of approved brewers that meet their strict criteria for water temperature. None of these machines is on that list. The Breville machines are probably best if you want the maximum level of configurability, because they allow you to set your desired temperature. Personally, I use an SCA approved Zwilling machine because I found it on sale. It gets plenty hot.

Not sure about returns "just because" but I got a defective air fryer and emailed them. They emailed me a return label and refunded. Definitely not as fast/easy as Amazon. You have to manually send a note and each back and forth is usually 1-2 biz days. But it worked.

Perfect timing because both of it Keurig coffee makers have been awful and buggy lately. It just seems like they're both on their last leg (Of course a few months after the warranty ended for each... Which doesn't feel intentional at all and must be a complete coincidence that both of them happened around the same time 🙄). But Keurig's loss is Nespresso's gain, and mine since I picked up the Nespresso Vertuo Pop+ Coffee and Espresso Machine. Not crazy about the color, but for the discount I'll gladly overlook it 🤷

I just learned from one of their videos that the Nespresso Vertuo Pop+ Coffee and Espresso Machine uses aluminum for their coffee pods, which is nice. But even if you managed to find a mostly metal coffee maker with mostly metal pods, it's probably still going to have hoses or tubes inside

No pod brewer will maintain contact between coffee and water for a minimum of 4 minutes. Thus, no pod brewers on the SCA list.

Got the coffee grinder. For $30 I think it's a good gamble. Not really a coffee connoisseur but a hard coffee drinker. Grinding my own beans should be a level up from current practice of using store ready ground coffee. Store ground coffee is nice and flavorful on its first few days. Thereafter, it just losses its aroma even with a sealed can. So now time to level up to beans and grinding.
