I think this is the one with a TN panel. But the ram is upgradeable: 8GB RAM soldered on the motherboard + empty RAM slot.

Yes. I bought this for my friend few weeks ago for $200 and opened it up for upgrading.
It has a TN display panel and soldered 8GB RAM.
There is an empty SODIMM slot for upgrade if needed. The SSD is replaceable if a larger storage is needed.
A decent budget laptop if you want a brand-new and could stand with inferior viewing angle of the display.

Great price. The 1215U is no slouch in terms of bargain basement parts. It's faster than the $250 AMD deal posted the other day. Although the TN display panel here ... yuck. You can see from customers photos, especially at side angles, that the panel is really, really bad.

As others mentioned, storage and RAM are even upgradeable.

I own a Lenovo laptop with the same specs. I recommend upgrading the ram so you can multitask on your web browser. Switching tabs struggle a bit.
