There's no such thing as GMO wheat. But also, there's nothing unsafe about GMO products anyway.

Similar to cream of wheat. I enjoy it. Good to mix it up and it is healthy.

I didn't see a non-gmo label but it doesn't have the bio engineered warning. Does anyone know if it's GMO?

Cream of Wheat is just wheat farina and this is wheat farina with a little malt. I like the malty taste of this much better but I grew up on this so I'm biased.

If you mix this with heavy brown sugar, it's not terrible. But the key word is heavy.

You could eat the original flavor of cream of wheat. No way in hell can you eat this product plain.

I thought I'd try it once since it sits next to cream of wheat at Walmart and I was thinking I'd save a few bucks vs CoW. I couldn't wait to get the box finished and back to CoW.

It is also worth noting that its congealing properties are different from CoW. CoW congeals much nicer, whereas malt o meal is much more gluey.

I like both but would choose this over COW. Both are an acquired taste, I grew up with it and still eat it today. There is a good recipe for "magic" muffins on the box. Add a small teaspoon of your favorite jam in the middle of each for a bonus.
I put the box in a gallon size ziplock or transfer to a sealed jar after opening, it lasts a lot longer

MUCH!!!,

"Better" than Cream of Wheat. In my opinion.

You just have to get down how to not make it lump up. Healthy amount of butter and sugar. Occasionally milk? Up to you.

LOL. Have you tried Malt-O-Meal without sugar? Um, it is pretty disgusting. It needs quite a bit of sugar to become palatable.

(Side note: I'm not the spitting image of the South Park World of Warcraft guy. I'm quite slim and healthy, thank you very much. Just this malt-o-meal takes like absolute shite)

Amazing how when "HEAVY" was so distinctly emphasized, it still didn't register with you.

and yes, if you need HEAVY sugar to make it taste "not terrible" then that is a problem, but not with the food. I put maybe 1.5 tbsps of brown sugar on a generous amount of malt-o-meal and it's sweet enough.
