Really ? Have you seen all the toxic ingredients ?
The FDA has warnings on many of these ingredients.
A simple calcium tablet, has the primary ingredient (not listed for some reason), Calcium Carbonate, without all the other crap.
I buy Calcium Tablets and just chew them. No flavor, but none of the risks and your spit doesn't shock you in the sink when the coloring comes out as shocking bloody pink, when you brush your teeth the next morning. Why do people BUY these ?

Ingredients
Adipic Acid, Corn Starch, Fd&C Blue #1 Lake, Fd&C #40 Lake, Fd&C Yellow #5 (Tartrazine) Lake, Fd&C Yellow #6 Lake, Flavors, Mineral Oil, Sodium Polyphosphate, Sucrose, Talc

Further, I wish a Doctor would have told me how to treat episodic heartburn properly.
First, a PPI like omeprazole for long term relief, but it won't kick in for 24 hours, so also Famotidine for short term lasting relief, but for the immediate moment, Calcium Carbonate or biCarbonate for quick relief. It is a three part treatment cycle, immediate, short term and long term. I take all three at the first symptoms.
You want the "chewy bites" or "Chewable chews" version as they do not have a chalky taste

You know that these drugs list the active and inactive ingredients separately, right? The active ingredients are near the very top. It's not missing:

Calcium Carbonate USP 750mg....Antacid

Wow Amazon, such a selling point: "Comes in a container"

As far as a price I get antiacids from Sam's Club for less than $9 for 2X265 tablet pack (530 total tablets) and the Sam's Club version is 1000mg of calcium not 750mg like these.
https://www.samsclub.com/p/member...od17960469

1.7 cents per tab at Sams and 5 cents per lower ingredient Amazon Tums price.

Basically heart burn/acid reducer meds and calcium carbonate. Check Amazon for omeprazole and famotidine and calcium carbonate.

If you simply follow the link, and scroll down on the Amazon listing, you will see that it IS missing. But you do have to scroll, and read and make the effort.

Yeah, though there is sodium and other extra ingredients in that one that I prefer not to have. Anything that just says Calcium Carbonate, which is basically just chalk or limestone and is used by the ton in agriculture and throughout industry. Cheap and plentiful.

A few things - first, it does very much list Calcium Carbonate in the active ingredients section of the label (listed in the images included with the product listing).

Two - if you're taking famotidine you should not be taking an antacid at the same time as it can interfere with the absorption of the famotidine rendering it less effective. Generally they recommend that you wait an hour after taking famotidine to take an antacid.

Three - Gaviscon, mentioned here, has products that use alginic acid (naturally occurring in seaweed) to help treat recurring stomach acid issues like GERD that you might want to consider. They have a double acting formula that includes both calcium carbonate and alginic acid which you might find useful.

Finally, all those artificial colors are crap and it's a shame that they include them in medical products aimed at adults as if they need to attract someone to an antacid for stomach relief.
