Excellent movie. Very strong performances give more gravity to the idea of AI and what it would mean if it were successfully implemented in a physical body. I feel like this idea has been beat to death over the years but honestly, the performances of the actors and style that this was filmed in really makes it stand out from much of the other AI driven storylines out there.

That being said, I would pull the trigger for maybe $8-$10. This is a great film but it was released in 2014 and the nature of the film doesn't necessarily warrant a $15 purchase for the physical copy. It isn't going to have a bunch of action or complicated surround sound that makes me more likely to invest in the physical disc. Beyond that, while it is a great film, it just isn't something I see a lot of people watching over and over again. I'm not saying that is going to be how everyone feels but I do think it is probably more worthwhile streaming through a service before anyone decides to invest $15 on the physical disc.

All of that is coming from a perspective of trying to save money and get the best value for the experience. I would never judge anyone for wanting to invest in an expansive collection of physical media. I did it for years and fully intend to do it again in the future.

Still too expensive. Will grab when we see $7.99 or $5.99.

Good flick but totally agree on the 4k prob not being a must buy at 15, unless you just want it and that's totally cool too. It's a dialogue heavy film and streaming or blu-ray is fine for this if you are looking to save money. I am holding off as well.

Was $7.5 in 2001, when eggs cost less than a dollar.

I never saw anything about them fixing it, but I definitely have an old disc that never worked past halfway or so.

$5.99 seems like a reach for a 4k disc.

However, we have seen $7.99…I picked this one up in 2020 for that price. Who knows if it will get there again.

If you're a fan of sci-fi, this one is definitely not one to be missed! As others have said: the idea is pretty old (it elaborates on the concept of a "Turing Test") but the performances are amazing!

Same. It used to be a $10 disc that didn't play, not even on a Panny UBK820. I'm guessing they fixed it and it's now a $15 disc!

Staff really pushing these 4K sales as "deals". What's the kickback from Amazon?!
