Back when our area had a bin store, I bought a TON of Degree returns from Amazon that were unopened, and NONE were "light".
Maybe you ran into a case where yours were melted badly in a warehouse and some leaked out, but again, I NEVER ran into this with returns that often WERE torched either in the warehouses or in the bins shipping to the bin store, as some things out of the bins were obviously heat cycled.
