Got the same one for 670$

999 plus 10% discount on LG website plus 30% cashback on that cashback website so

999-10% = 899
899-299$ cb = 600+70tax

So 670, i guess it's a great deal IMO
For those who may have missed it, this monitor uses a LG Display W-OLED panel with matte coating (as compared to Samsung Display QD-OLED with glossy coating found on most other monitors out there).

The matte option is better if you are planning to use the monitor in a bright room/with direct light on the display.

However matte option really gets people animated as the coating layer can make the image (particularly text) look "muddy" for some. Compared to the competition this monitor can also consume 2x the power while not getting as bright (limitation of W-OLED). This model also has an active cooling fan instead of a graphene layer on most other oled monitors. The earlier Dell OLED monitors had fans which are reported to get louder with time. Not saying that will happen with this LG monitor but Icymi.

As always though, price can be a determining factor. No brainer for the ~$600 as per the comments in this thread.

RTINGS 9.2/10 for gaming

https://www.rtings.com/monitor/re...32gs95ue-b

The LG 32GS95UE-B is outstanding for PC gaming. It has a near-instantaneous response time that results in crisp motion and low input lag for a responsive feel. Its near-infinite contrast ratio and perfect black uniformity are ideal for dark room gaming, as blacks look deep and inky. It also has a 240Hz refresh rate, so motion looks extremely crisp, and it feels very responsive. Additionally, this monitor has a 480Hz Dual-Mode, which is outstanding for esports and competitive gaming. One downside is its noticeable VRR flicker in dark scenes with changing frame rates, which is disappointing if your PC doesn't maintain consistent frame rates in a game.

Are these usable for work or not really? I tried a different 4k oled and it was amazing for games and movies but very hard to read/work on. Can't even describe exactly why. Combination of brightness, colors, blurriness that made my eyes hurt after just a short while.

Have the Alienware 32" 4K OLED and use it for deal hunting and video editing during the day. Confused how you found it blurry?

Most Oled panel have a pretty unique subpixel matrix shape, and most operating systems struggle to generate fonts clearly on them (e.g. Windows ClearType), causing text to not look as sharp as on a equivalent IPS panel (same pixel density but blurrier text)

So RTINGS gave this a 9/10 on text clarity (compared to a 8.5/10 on my Alienware).

Curious which Alienware you have? You mentioned 32 4k, so I assumed it was the aw3225qf, but that one has a rating of 8.5 for text clarity

A grand for a 32" monitor? F that noise. To take advantage of 4k 240hz you'd need a 5090 anyway.

$500 tops for this guy. Yeah yeah OLED, but I've seen 48" 120hz+ OLEDs here on SD for under $500
It's the PPI of a 32" monitor in 4k if you're sitting close at a desk. A 48" has a PPI of 92.56, which is the same pixel density of a 24" 1080p monitor.
