This is the weirdest "I don't know what this is, but it's on sale so I'll buy it" deal I've gotten on Slickdeals so far

I read this as "guano paste" and was so confused as to who would actually eat it. 🤦🏼

I've seen this in my grocery store and wondered what it's for too. I imagine, baking cookies/desserts?
Same with a jar of prune butter that I found on the clearance shelf a few years ago. =8-0

Deliciousness. Mix with cream cheese in crescent roll dough, heat and eat. My quick version of pastelitos.

Maybe this will taste good if I use it as a spread and put it on toasted bread? Has anyone done this before?

Too tough for that, unless you heat it first. No Hispanics here?

maybe you wasted a 30% coupon amazon adds to some accounts randomly, that could have been used instead on a bigger purchase?

This stuff is delicious, try slivers of it with a sharp cheddar, the way fancy cheese stores sell you quince paste. This is a better version and far cheaper.

Don't get it unless you bake. As far as I know it's the main thing it's good for. I've made mock guava cream pies (like the ones McDonald's had/has) with it using pie crust, cream cheese mixed with powdered sugar-vanilla-egg, and this guava paste.

Though I have made guava icecream with it in the past and it turned out nice.

Iberia guava paste is IMHO the best option of generally available ones. It's less known than GOYA but much better quality. (Slightly different flavor that I prefer but isn't as nostalgic)
