The difference is this guy is using extra batteries that are not supported. However when EcoFlow released the Delta Pro 3 they specifically made it compatible with he Delta Pro Extra Batteries. It is even called out in the specs "Supports up to two DELTA Pro 3 Smart Extra Batteries / DELTA Pro Smart Extra Batteries". The heat issues this guy experienced was due to using batteries with main units that aren't meant to be used together but he was doing it as a hack.

Pretty impressed with this system as a whole, hooked up a furnace bypass and tested it out. The base pro will run it for about 4 hours estimated not counting it cycling off and on. 8 with the current battery I already have. Really want a second battery but this would give me 3. Anyone in SW PA that want to go halfsies

Really great price for these. If you have a delta pro 3, these also work with your main unit

Does the battery work by its own? like charging and discharging.

Was planning to get this for my DP3 and then came across this video. Looks like it would be a fire hazard due to cables getting extremely hot at high loads.

No. These are extra batteries designed to be hooked up to a min unit. Either a Delta Pro or Delta Pro 3

If I use these with a Delta Pro can i use it as back up power to power essentials in my home in case of a power outage? I'd be looking to run a pellet stove, fridge, tv, router, and power phones.

Yes, these are extra batteries that will extend the total battery of your delta pro.

No, these are extra batteries. You need a Delta Pro 3 if you want an "UPS".

These can't really be used on their own, they have to be attached to a Delta Pro or Delta Pro 3 main unit that actually has the inverter and control unit (edit: and an additional 3.6-4 kWh). That being said, if you attach these to a Delta Pro 3, that model is specifically advertised as "a comprehensive 10ms UPS", meaning it should switch to backup mode in under 10 milliseconds. The original Delta Pro isn't specced like that and I'm not sure how quickly it switches over.

There is no individual Delta Pro 2 unit, correct? The Delta Pro 2 is (2) Delta Pro units paired together with a Double Voltage Hub, right? LMK if I have that wrong.

If it is two Delta Pro units paired with the DVH these batteries would work.

So if I buy a Delta Pro 3 and get these as well, that is around 11,000 watt hours of reserve power I'd have?
