Note about the Allstate/SquareTrade warranty since I had to go through the process with my current tv. After the first two year warranty coverage through manufacturer and Costco, Allstate takes over. I noticed some dead pixels on year 4 of my warranty and had to submit a claim. I was approved for a replacement tv but they offered two TVs that were significantly lower quality than what I purchased. The claim service was all through chat and I could not speak to a live agent on the phone. I called Costco warranty/tech service department and they were incredibly helpful. They spoke to an agent and got Allstate to provide the current version of my tv as well as another competitive option to choose from.

Also note that once you receive your replacement tv, the new tv is not covered under the remainder of the warranty. Costco actually advised that in the future I begin the warranty process with them instead of Allstate so they have all the case notes. Exceptional Costco service experience.
They have a phone number and phone agents. I just went through the process on an LG CX and they offered a C4 as replacement. I declined it and requested money back and they sent a $1200 check.
My friend has the 85" Bravia 7, and I have a 65" S90C (QD-OLED). I don't see a viewing angle issue on his TV like the reviews say. It may be worse than my OLED viewing angle as far as getting slightly dim. But I think you'd have to be really picky to even notice it. Just my opinion. I think the reviews are hyper critical and may not apply to most people. I would be happy with either QD-OLED as I have, or a Bravia 7. His is brighter but I do think the colors are richer and the QD-OLEDs essentially have perfect image quality.
And on the flip side while I think viewing angles are blown out of proportion, I don't see a brightness issue with my OLED. The same windows that would blow out my old plasma's image from sunlight, does not do the same to my S90C.
You can't really go wrong with any midrange TV, buy based on price and this price is as good as it gets on a 65" Bravia 7. I'd buy it if I didn't have my TV because $1200 is as low as it's probably going to go unless you're even more of a successful vulture than me.

I was really worried about the brightness of the Sony OLED as many said it's not good for bright room. I got it anyway since I like the color produced by the TV and I don't have any problem with the brightness at all. Sony doesn't make OLED anymore?

They do. The Bravia 8 is almost identical but OLED and $800 more at the 65 inch size. They have others that are even more expensive.

Great deal for a very solid TV. Beats OLED TVs in most brighter family rooms.
Definitely a solid TV. But OLED is still king of the hill in every scenario. Unless you plan on watching it on the beach in glaring sun. THEN there may be a slight advantage. Big Grin

People say that who don't own it. Most likely LED paid shills.
Once you actually OWN an OLED and bring it home, you realize all of that "no good in a bright room" is just fake news put out to sell more LED's.

This review just came out yesterday from Vincent. He's really impressed with it compared to the $30k reference monitor:

Sorry... but NOT true. I had a C1, and it was unbearable in a bright room. Luckily... it developed burn-in in 18 mos. and Costco issued me a full refund. I said never again to OLED. But stupid me... I gave OLED another chance this past Holiday Season. I bought a B4 and put it in the same room with my Samsung QN90. Boy... was that a mistake... for the OLED. The Samsung kicks the B4's ass in a bright room, and when lowering the brightness of the QN90 to that of the B4 in a dark room, the results were the same; the black levels were indistinguishable, and the QN90 picture was so much more vibrant and colorful. Needless to say... Best Buy received a B4 to add to their open box inventory. There IS a reason that some LED TV's cost more than some OLED's.

Maybe you got a bad model, I have OLED's in multiple bright rooms (I also have Sony LED's). The OLED is consistently the better picture. Me and probably 90% of AVS forum agrees. But hey, maybe you got the greatest LED ever made in the history of TV's. Big Grin

Picture quality is subjective. Our friends watch movies by cranking up the motion smoothing and expanding the letterbox to full screen. To each their own.

Sorry if asked already, about that very last point:

So, if you would have begun your claim through Costco, after replacement, would you still get the 'remainder' of the 5 years from initial purchase?

I was also wondering about return/warranty service if one's Costco membership has expired after the initial purchase. Would that matter as far as returns/warranty service? Anyone?

I'm thinking about joining Costco for one of these TV deals, but pretty sure I won't renew membership.

Thanks.

Why even get the B4 though when you wanted the brightest? At least try the C4, if not the G3/4.

Which QN90 do you have? They are generally solid but no DV is a bummer. The QN90D is an ADS panel and I am not sure how I feel about that but it's probably decent for non critical family room viewing.

Went with the B4 because it was on a good sale... and trying to once again buy-in to the whole, "OLED is bright enough for a bright room", wish... NOT. OLED shills think that any OLED beats any LED in any viewing environment... it's just NOT TRUE. HDR10+, and even HDR10 looks way better on the QN90 than DV looks on the B4. Anyway...we're just gonna stick with premium LED's since we were skeptical after our OLED burn-in experience. The QN90D has a VA panel like my QN90B. It's the QN90C that has an ADS panel.

Give it up man. Its cool you like your TV and maybe don't want to spend more on a higher end OLED, but anyone with eyes can walk into a Costco and see the OLED's are superior to any LED they have in the store. And that is in a super bright environment.
OLED's are so good you don't have to shill for them. They have been the best for almost a decade and nothing has changed.
This is coming from a long time Sony LED buyer.

Thank you OP -- in for one. Believe you also posted the BJ's $999 B4 deal about 2 weeks ago. After two weeks decided B4 wasn't for me either... beautiful OLED picture (a little dim during daytime) and decent sound quality when not using soundbar, but LG OS and magic remote were so disappointing and deal breaking... think I'd even turn down a G4 for B4 money. Have and enjoy TVs with Google, Fire, & Roku OS (would rank them in that order) but LG OS is in the "never again" category. Really enjoying the Bravia 7 and (larger) TCL QM8. If Costco sold the QM8 for current street price of $899 don't know that I'd pay $300 more for the sale price B7... both have strengths.

Gdog: Respectfully, think I'm with OP in the mini/QLED fan club. A S90/95D or A95L *might* have scratched my itch for bright, vivid colors but am not sacrificing Dolby Vision, preferred OS, or paying the A95L tax. Glad they make both OLED and mini QLEDs so we can all get what we want...
