Note about the Allstate/SquareTrade warranty since I had to go through the process with my current tv. After the first two year warranty coverage through manufacturer and Costco, Allstate takes over. I noticed some dead pixels on year 4 of my warranty and had to submit a claim. I was approved for a replacement tv but they offered two TVs that were significantly lower quality than what I purchased. The claim service was all through chat and I could not speak to a live agent on the phone. I called Costco warranty/tech service department and they were incredibly helpful. They spoke to an agent and got Allstate to provide the current version of my tv as well as another competitive option to choose from.

Also note that once you receive your replacement tv, the new tv is not covered under the remainder of the warranty. Costco actually advised that in the future I begin the warranty process with them instead of Allstate so they have all the case notes. Exceptional Costco service experience.
They have a phone number and phone agents. I just went through the process on an LG CX and they offered a C4 as replacement. I declined it and requested money back and they sent a $1200 check.
My friend has the 85" Bravia 7, and I have a 65" S90C (QD-OLED). I don't see a viewing angle issue on his TV like the reviews say. It may be worse than my OLED viewing angle as far as getting slightly dim. But I think you'd have to be really picky to even notice it. Just my opinion. I think the reviews are hyper critical and may not apply to most people. I would be happy with either QD-OLED as I have, or a Bravia 7. His is brighter but I do think the colors are richer and the QD-OLEDs essentially have perfect image quality.
And on the flip side while I think viewing angles are blown out of proportion, I don't see a brightness issue with my OLED. The same windows that would blow out my old plasma's image from sunlight, does not do the same to my S90C.
You can't really go wrong with any midrange TV, buy based on price and this price is as good as it gets on a 65" Bravia 7. I'd buy it if I didn't have my TV because $1200 is as low as it's probably going to go unless you're even more of a successful vulture than me.

Give it up man. Its cool you like your TV and maybe don't want to spend more on a higher end OLED, but anyone with eyes can walk into a Costco and see the OLED's are superior to any LED they have in the store. And that is in a super bright environment.
OLED's are so good you don't have to shill for them. They have been the best for almost a decade and nothing has changed.
This is coming from a long time Sony LED buyer.
I am guessing that the current Sony Bravia 9 was not on the list of Sony LED's you have purchased

It is just that good and a game changer

This coming from someone who owns the Sony A95L QD-OLED

I'm not sure how bright exactly people's rooms are, but my LG C1 OLED is plenty bright for a room that gets afternoon sun.

I'm sure this TV is great.

I'm just not seeing a scenario in which I'd pay $1200 for a 65" HDTV that wasn't OLED.
Amen brother…these people are too busy looking at RTINGS and not understanding. Modern OLED is bright enough for 90% of use cases. My 2 story LR is flooded with light from 3 walls, C1 is 100% fine. Also ZERO with static images, plenty of people gaming and using as monitors.
I'd never go back to LED contrast / blur/ uniformity issues….especially at these prices!

Sorry... but NOT true. I had a C1, and it was unbearable in a bright room. Luckily... it developed burn-in in 18 mos. and Costco issued me a full refund. I said never again to OLED. But stupid me... I gave OLED another chance this past Holiday Season. I bought a B4 and put it in the same room with my Samsung QN90. Boy... was that a mistake... for the OLED. The Samsung kicks the B4's ass in a bright room, and when lowering the brightness of the QN90 to that of the B4 in a dark room, the results were the same; the black levels were indistinguishable, and the QN90 picture was so much more vibrant and colorful. Needless to say... Best Buy received a B4 to add to their open box inventory. There IS a reason that some LED TV's cost more than some OLED's.
QN90 looks horrid with oversaturated colors, eye searing whites, and janky motion handling. Compared to ANY OLED…., not even close. Maybe if you watch it outside or have the sun shining on it with insane levels of brightness. In a normal room or even bestbuy you can DEFINITELY see the better oled picture and fluid motion. If you had 18Months burn in, looks like you have the protections disabled or watching static images all day….this has not been a thing since the CX series.

You are mentioning an LED that is twice the price...but still..straight from Rtings.

"For the most part, the LG G4 OLED is better than the Sony BRAVIA 9 QLED. The Sony has very impressive contrast for an LED TV, but the LG is still better, providing even deeper blacks than the Sony with less blooming. The LG is better suited for watching TV with a big group due to its wider viewing angle. Its faster response time delivers fast motion with less blur behind it. When it comes to gaming, both TVs are great, but the LG is better due to its lower input lag,"

Thank you OP -- in for one. Believe you also posted the BJ's $999 B4 deal about 2 weeks ago. After two weeks decided B4 wasn't for me either... beautiful OLED picture (a little dim during daytime) and decent sound quality when not using soundbar, but LG OS and magic remote were so disappointing and deal breaking... think I'd even turn down a G4 for B4 money. Have and enjoy TVs with Google, Fire, & Roku OS (would rank them in that order) but LG OS is in the "never again" category. Really enjoying the Bravia 7 and (larger) TCL QM8. If Costco sold the QM8 for current street price of $899 don't know that I'd pay $300 more for the sale price B7... both have strengths.

Gdog: Respectfully, think I'm with OP in the mini/QLED fan club. A S90/95D or A95L *might* have scratched my itch for bright, vivid colors but am not sacrificing Dolby Vision, preferred OS, or paying the A95L tax. Glad they make both OLED and mini QLEDs so we can all get what we want...
Buy what makes you happy, I was just pointing out that the VAST majority of people prefer OLED. (assuming they could afford it).
There will always be exceptions though and it sounds like you are one of them, enjoy your tv!

why didnt you quote the rest of the statement?

"However, the Sony is brighter overall, so it overcomes more glare in a bright room and can display brighter highlights in HDR content."

That was part of the whole conversation anyway right...performance in a bright room

The Sony Bravia 9 is only a few hundred dollars more than the LG G4. If one was cross shopping OLED versus LCD I could most certainly see someone considering the two due to their close price proximity

You made a blanket statement about OLEDs versus LED's and I dont think it applies the way you posted as a clear line

Again, I own the Sony A95L and I would have no issue owning the Sony Bravia 9..its an amazing television

Based on your opinion statement about oversaturated colors...you cant like any QD-OLED or frankly any Samsung TV period

I own both the Samsung QN90A and QN90C as well as the Sony A95L
I really dont see all of these blowout whites and horrible motion handling you speak of..??

Sounds like the LCD you saw needed some picture adjustments.

Looks like a solid deal, especially with the 5-year warranty from Costco.
