For example, the one in this post, I already have ATS, so this bundle drops to $1.75 for me. The all time low for ETS2 alone is $1.99 (according to isthereanydeal)

If you have never played ATS and have even a tiny interest in a truck driving sim, buy this bundle. Just do it. It's a stupid low price for both games.
And if your home state is available, optionally add it on to the $3 bundle and enjoy! I got this bundle and Colorado for my kid's account for less than $8.
Another option to consider is once you have ATS, then any of the bundles that include it will drop by ~$3.99. If you want a larger map to start with, I recommend buying this bundle FIRST, then go back and get either of these bundles for the best value:
Northwest Bundle - which includes Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, and then the Forest Machinery, Wheel Tuning Pack, and Retrowave Paint Jobs Pack DLCs for about $23.12 (so total of $26.11 for the two transactions)
Southwest Bundle - which includes New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, and then the Steering Creations Pack, Heavy Cargo Pack, Classic Stripes Paint Jobs Pack, and Special Transport packs for about $17.44 (so about $20.44 for the two transactions)
Since the states in these packs border the included states (California, Arizona, and Nevada), either of these packs expand the reach of your trucking empire substantially.
Frankly the Northwest Bundle is the overall best value - the (5) individual states would run you $23.80 by themselves, so you essentially get all of the states and the "packs" for less than the cost of the states.
The Southwest Bundle is not quite as much of a deal vs. just buying the included states alone, but the Heavy Cargo pack is actually helpful since it opens up the ability to haul more lucrative "heavy cargo" loads in game, so I still consider it a solid starter bundle for the game.
