Luminox watches are crap. I bought one last year from Ashford.com (same seller as above). Within a month the strap broke. Was not abused. No help from Ashford. Sent it to their warranty jeweler, a shady outfit in Rhode Island, who refused to repair it under warranty. I advise anyone thinking about buying this watch to seek out opinions online. The online consensus is that the less expensive Luminox are junk. If you are prepared to piss away a hundred bucks then go ahead and buy this watch.

Good deal for a cheap Luminox.

Although I think the claim of "Sapphire Crystal Scratch Resistant Anti Reflective" is almost certainly wrong. From what I can tell, this watch comes with a mineral crystal on all other sites.

Ever noticed that majority of these watches are sold from the east coast? And from small sellers never heard from

These watches look so cool but I've never pulled the plug on one. If you want a quality watch like this, look to other brands like Traser. More money but durable and reliable as heck.
The reviews of these lower end Luminoxes are abysmal. Higher end Lummies can be great, I have an automatic Luminox and it's my daily go-to.

Joma lists XL.0215.SL as mineral, so you're probably right.

I have owned this watch for a couple of years now. It's my daily driver. It takes a lot of abuse and still works fine. I work in construction, and I still don't have any scratches on the crystal. I really like the easy visibility at night.

Ashfords warranty is crap. Basically they won't cover anything unless the stars align and hell freezes over. However, they send you a nice warranty card to make you feel better.

Avoid this one… the more expensive ones are ok. I have one for over 10 years now (battery lasted 10 years as well!). Got it from Joma years ago as a gift to my dad. The crown fell out, but who knows if it was build quality or my dad just beating the hell out of it (as he typically did on all his watches)

Why we need a $100 watch to see time? I can see it bigger and better on my Samsung galaxy 24x7.
It's much quicker and convenient to look at the time on a wristwatch than to pull out your phone.

All plastic fyi, even the crown, the one redeeming thing is the tritium illumination (self illumination no need for light exposure).
