If I am not wrong that includes subscription to Barron's and MarketWatch as well in that price. This one is just for WSJ.

Back in the '70s & '80s and into the '90s, though less so, the WSJ (& Barron's) were fine papers. Now, that's about what they are worth, 2 bucks a week, perhaps.

I can save everyone their $2/week (as this feels like overpaying)

Just write down on a piece of paper and then read at your choosing, "the poors are the problem."

This is strange timing. Like two days ago I literally spent forever googling and trying to get this deal.

They have student/young professionals at this price usually and I kept trying to sign up for him and it wouldn't work

Maybe I generated the market research that made them think the sale would be a good idea lol

Either way I signed up glad I checked Slickdeals

FYI to anybody considering this, the WSJ is not the bastion of unbiased reporting it once was. The opinion side of the house is still pretty good, but the "news" side of the house has introduced a very noticeable leftward slant in the past few years. Depending on the topic they can still be fairly decent, but if it's something that the new "news" staff feels strongly about, they're just as bad as the rest of the media (which is why I keep putting news in quotes -- some articles have a good bit of left-leaning opinion subtly interspersed in them). My understanding is that they had significant staff turnover a few years back, leading to the degradation in quality. Part of the problem is that the news department follows the AP stylebook, which in recent years has itself become a way to propagate left-leaning dogma. Actually, come to think of it, the WSJ's opinion department just published a column about that issue:

Nice deal, WSJ has been a good resource for me concerning news and investment performance. Now I can drop the stupid Apple News subscription.

I already get WSJ news as part of my Apple One subscription- any reason to get this?
The WSJ news from Apple One is only a very selected articles. Maybe no more than 10% at most of the entire WSJ news articles daily. The same goes for any other "subscription" through Apple One.
