On the automatic mode, the light will turn on automatically when you get within 10 feet and the light automatically turns off 20 seconds after you walk away to save energy. BLS Constant-Sense technology allows it to constantly pick up motions, staying on as long as you are nearby and automatically turning off 20 seconds after you walk away.
  • This battery powered light is equipped with 1500 mAh rechargeable battery, which can be easily charged through the USB-C cable. (The indicator light is red when charging and green when fully charged.)
  • After fully charged, this motion sensor battery operated light can last about 8 hours on the continuously ON mode, and last up 120 days on AUTO MODE (Use it 10 times a day, 20 seconds each time). It is 2 times battery run time of other similar closet battery lights

Wife bought a pack of these - after a few months, both lights kinda forgot they had an off switch and would just stay on no matter what. So… pretty crappy in the end.

I inherited these in my apartment. I would not buy them even for $10.

I'm fairly certain this site keeps these crappy lights alive. This has to be the 3rd name change of the same lights.

Does anyone know if any of these types of lights have decent battery life, are dimmable, and have decent light color (warmer) and CRI?

I'd pay 2x or 3x the price for decent ones, but they all seem to suck.

I got one for a little coffee station, wanted to just leave it plugged in all the time. Apparently the motion sensor doesn't work if it's plugged in. Now it just stays off.

Why are these a thing? Home Depot has several sets too. Why would you not want hard wired under cabinet lights? I was able to keep wires mostly hidden only drilling a couple small holes (landlord wouldn't even notice if you're a renter). I bought two cheap sets like 5 years ago. My lights use a wall wart and I snipped the wires to keep the holes small and then just spliced the wires back together. I also use an Amazon smart plug with them, have that and the two wall warts all hidden in the cabinet above the microwave above the stove since there's an outlet there.

I ended up using a Govee light strip, smart sensor, smart plug and set the sensor to activate the plug for 5 min and the strip power is low and set to red. Sure it cost more, but works great.and no recharging and I already had the led strip laying around. It was more for coming to bed at different times, but works for both.

They likely left them because they weren't worth removing / transporting..

I bought them for a closet which has no electric outlet. They were adequate. Re-charged them about 3X a month. Certainly worth $10 for that purpose. I would not recommend them for a job beyond that. Certainly wouldn't put them in my kitchen.

@JWeavis gave me an idea for your use-case. Put a smart-plug on the charger and only turn it on x mins a day to charge. Since it's off most of the day, the motion sensor should work.
