I can also confirm that I once didn't have the exact receipt the return item was on ready in my app and the employee pulled up both transactions on his computer, and asked me which one I wanted the return on 😯seems every Costco is differentAnd they do allow scanning the older receipt, paper or digital, for return/refund if you have it
You have to make them aware, and every single time they have manually adjusted the return for the earlier price with the receipt.

check out the reviews on Costco. sounds like there are better ones out there
The output is over rated. You only will see about 1000 generated.
There is only one review that said not even 1000, but it sounds like he was guessing, and not exact metering

Stress tested my unit today, it can't handle more than 1500 watts... overload trips at 1600 watts. Controlling the draw by using my ecoflow power stations. I put 15 hours on the unit with very light draw on it before doing this test... less than 100 to 300 watts max.

Reach out to them and see what they say. It is advertised at 1900 watts (15.8 amps) continuous (however, even the Honda does not always hit it's exact peak for continuous. I feel 100w should be max under rating). If they cannot resolve take it back to Costco.

This is actually a pretty solid deal for a Yamaha-powered inverter. Having the CO sensor and the included cables is a nice bonus too.

Is there any difference between this unit and the one Sam's Club sells besides this one being 100 watts more? Asking because the Sam's unit sells regularly for $400, and there was a recent YMMV deal at $255.

I prefer the Sam's Club model because it has significantly better reviews. However, Dr. Newscum banned many of the generators, which means the Sam's Club generator isn't available in Communist California.

Wow 1900 running watts... that'll power a microwave. To hell with the water pump, water heater, or HVAC - just run the damn microwave in an emergency backup power situation.

OUCH!! Bought 2 in January. How long is price match at Costco.com? I really don't want to drain them and return, and then re-buy, but it's $100 each! Damn!

Rebuy them and then return the ones you just purchased with the old receipt.

Agree, I have a kill-a-watt meter - planning on doing another test by using that to help verify my numbers.

Best would be to run off the 30 amp RV outlet and put an AC amp meter on that cord.

"Maximum wattage and current are subject to and limited by such factors as fuel BTU content, ambient temperature, altitude, engine conditions, etc. Maximum power decreases about 3.5% for each 1,000 feet above sea level, and will also decrease about 1% for each 10°F(6°C) above 60°F( 16°C) ambient temperature"

Took it back, I verified the ecoflow power stations were pulling more power than what was displayed on the power station, ie. on the ecoflow it said 178 watts but the kill-a-watt displayed 200 watts. That being the case, I was able to push to 1600 watts then got the point that it wouldn't go past 1500 watts without strain on the motor then hitting overload. So in summary, ran it at 1500 watts for 10+ plus minutes and then chokes at 1600 watts. Honestly you shouldn't use near capacity but I couldn't validate with my unit that it would actually allow for 1900watts with surge of 2400 watts. Not sure if I stated this on previous post but the start up was weird. On choke, I never had it to start or almost start... I always put the choke on and let it sit for a minute or so as I gather my cords. Pulled a couple of times with no start then moved to run then it would start right up. Most generators I've used you would start with the choke on and after 30 to 60 seconds move it to run.

Repped for using Newscum and Communist California which I used these words a lot when talking to my friends, lol

Is this a good power source for someone with sleep apnea to use their CPAP machine while camping?

It would work but bit noisy lot of fuel use for a cpap. Look at the EcoFlow RIVER 3 Plus and there's an extra battery option as well if you need extended use. Also supports solar charging which is doable during camping OR charge in the car. Keep in mind solar is limited with cloud cover OR rainy day.
