I have a toddler and while we LOVED the movie, that soundtrack got really repetitive. The one with the orchestral strings buildup. It's probably because we've played the disc so many times in this house that it's starting to get to me, lol. But yeah, it's a great movie to watch in 4K. Have them cover their ears in the first few seconds of the movie!
But if you liked Wild Robot, please do check out FLOW as well. Great movie for the family but it deals with deeper themes like empathy and sacrifice, that may go over your little one's heads if they don't have high EQ. Though a heads up, there's no dialogue in the movie so it might be boring depending on the kid. Gorgeous visuals though.
Kung Fu Panda 1-3 are great too. The fourth is just a rehash of plot lines, gags and sequences from the first three and brings nothing new to Po's character arc. So definitely skip that one.
And very surprisingly, Puss in Boots Last Wish was awesome. Waaaaaaay better than the first. It being a Shrekiverse movie, I had super low expectations going in. But wow was this movie funny and animation style so on the money. It's got this 2D/3D hybrid animation style very similar to Spiderverse that's really dynamic and fun. Much better than the tired and old Disney/Pixar style. The wolf character can be a little intense for the little ones but just a testament to how menacing he was. The character designs and voice acting on him was perfection. I loved how the movie was not afraid to deal with darker themes like mortality and severe anxiety.
I'm down to give more recommendations for movies with the kiddos and I'm happy to hear what you liked watching with the family!

I don't get why people liked this film. The ending must have been so good it erases the 1hr of boring. 😄
Yes the ending is the biggest payoff. I would've probably did the same thing you did were it not for me seeing the trailer first (there's a tone shift that happens). You should give it another shot, the wife and I both love this movie.

Like many people here I bought it earlier from Amazon.
Amazon lets you cancel your order very easily. I never closed my browser window and when I went back to it, it had the option to cancel.
Ive just done it and bought it on Apple TV.

Not sure about MA compatibility though.

Looks like it is available in Movies Anywhere so I think it's a safe bet.
