If you buy the digital version, is the upgrade to the PS5 version still $10, or is it better to find the PlayStation 5 version for cheap?

In case it helps, the releases are a bit confusing... TLoU Remastered is a graphical improvement made for the ps4 because the original game came out late in the ps3 life cycle. It is not, however the newest update -- that's TLoU Part 1, which is a complete remake, ten years later. Somewhat similarly, TLoU Part 2 Remastered is a graphical improvement for the ps5 because the original Part 2 was released for the ps4.

Edit: I do not believe you can upgrade from this to TLoU Part 1.

No.

The PS4 TLOU is a remaster. The PS5 TLOU is a remake.

However the PS4 TLOU part 2 does get an upgrade to PS5 for a $10 fee as that is a remaster.

TLOU part 1 for PS5 is currently part of the PS+ catalog if you want to play the entire game in a few days.
