Ninja released a version that does this AND soft serve but it's $349(was $300). Ninja currently has no plans to release an add-on for existing creami customers that want this function.
For the holidays the gf received a creami deluxe since late December and has made 3-4 ice creams total. I have a $15 Dash one you keep in the freezer and have made 1 so far. The creami is taking up counter space and Dash was just moved into another room to get it out of the freezer.
Creami you make it with the ingredients (sometimes use the mixer to mix) and then freeze it for 12-24 hours and then mix and enjoy. Put leftovers in freezer.
Dash you put mug in the freezer for 24 hours and when you have all your ingredients ready and mixed and chilled you put it in the mug, put the top on and mix it for minutes and then it's ready to eat. Any leftovers put in the freezer. (portion size is smaller than creami cups)
The creami is objectively better than the Dash My Mug but the price point not so much as ice cream still takes time and ingredients.
We have purchased 1 container of ice cream since then. I haven't had ice cream since (aside from a singular ice cream sandwich)
