and $29.97 Turf Builder 13.58 lb. 5,000 sq. ft. Halts Crabgrass Preventer Dry Lawn Fertilizer
-$20 = $36.94 before tax
not too bad if you need both of them.
From my own amazon history, I usually buy Turf Builder item for ~$17 each, but I do not need Crabgrass Preventer
Otherwise, you'll need to look up each herbicide and see if it'll kill the weeds that you have.
I'd go with cheaper, and if doesn't work, change.
....
I personally find the spray versions (garden hose attachments) of any weed and feed work fine, even better because I can ensure total coverage (every inch is wet).
With granules, good luck in that.
....
I usually do 1 pass before the spring weeds emerge, then another pass if I feel lazy (vs picking a few stragglers up by hand) about a month later.
Can't do much here though about 100% kill because the lazy neighbors let just about everything grow wild (terrible looking, too). Just heavy suppression so my lawn doesn't turn into trash.
What other brands would you suggest?
No, if the 3 numbers are close to the same. Like a 30-0-10 is betterthan a 19-0-10 since you need less of it. Scotts seem to make it hard to find anymore on the bag. But it is there.
That is for the fertilizer. Then there can be a difference in the broadleaf weed control and the crabgrass (pre emergenent). control
Lesco is one of the better choices.
