Custom 3x4 black version nvme running around 2,000 read write. Get pretty and throttle, need to add a heatsink

Got one of each. Amazon reviews talk about needing to load a drive in the cheap one to make it work, but I have a WD SSD I want to use anyway. Thunderbolt only, keep in mind.

It's SN730 and a heatsink is factory installed. R/W speed around 3,000MB/s. Attached a picture of mine.

For the lucky people who live nearby a microcenter, this is a great deal for the empty one. Put a NVMe and a large heat sink (mine is over 1" tall). It works great with a SN850X, never overheats due to the large heat sink + fan that is noiseless. I use it with my Mac and it works great, zero issues.

I got the nvmeless one and threw in my own nvme. Using it with my m4 mac mini right now. The dock has a built in fan but it never turns on.
