FAQ's:
- No, you cannot use Staples GC's to purchase these.
- No, these do not count towards your spend requirements for a premier membership.
- No, these do not earn you any Staples rewards.
- No, you cannot use coupons/ rewards to purchase these GC's.
- Yes, you can split payment between multiple cards (if your cashier permits it) YMMV
- The limit of 8 may or may not be enforced depending on your store/ cashier. YMMV
- Why is this a deal? Some members have CC's that earn 5% CB at office supply stores (INK and Amex Simply Cash). Others need to meet minimum CC spend.
- What if my store doesn't accept payment with a CC? Your store likely has had issues with fraud and it is managers discretion on what payment they will accept.

Reps for posting this!
---UPDATED - to remove the warning that the registration/card management site would not allow registration. Reported as capable now!---

You don't have to register to use them, but if you do not, you are taking more risk for fraudsters hacking them. I have been hacked on a couple of MC GCs a few years back. That took a lot of time and effort to be made whole. So now I don't hesitate to register them.
The current Staples MC GCs deal for the rest of this week is posted here:

I will warn folks that if you are planning to register the Visas, their website [giftcardmall.com]is not working to do so (lately).

I had to call in to do it, which was a pain. Especially because I did it for 9 cards. I had the CSR write down my details with the first one so he didn't have to keep asking me for each one.

The current Staples MC GCs deal for the rest of this week are letting me register them properly and set my PIN online.

"mygift.giftcardmall.com/" and "giftcardmall.com/mygift" both worked for me today. The later redirects to the former and is what is printed on the back of the staples gift cards.

Thank you for the update! It had been unable to process registration or PINs on any browser I tried and incognito for the last week, or so. I may get a few next week if I can work out how to spend them. Reps.

GCM has upgraded their security protocols significantly over the past few years. If they see something suspicious, they block your ISP, usually temporarily. For example, I messed up a couple of digits on one of the numbers, tried it twice and failed, and they blocked me for 24 hours. Even though this can be a pain, I would rather they be very vigilant, than be lax.

Thanks. I did try over several different days though. No errors either. But good to know.
I was able to register 12 MCs with no problems, while I still could not register Visas, but it is a slightly different branch on their site map.

For Visa, It allows me to register 3 at a time (provided you put right digit.)
Then I use different browser and allows 3 more.
Then I use my phone to register 3 more.
That take care of all 9 (max limit) at a time.

I was just able to register 8 cards at one time, without switching browsers. That's a first for me, as, like you stated, previously I would get blocked after registering 3 cards at a time
