Ugh, Ubisoft's drm makes me want to pirate UbiSoft games. Every time I fire up an ubi game for the first time I have issues with ubi connect (are they still calling it that unironically?) I am trying to not buy ubi games. My last game, watch dogs legions, that I bought at the end of last year required Ubiconnect. The email 2fa for ubiconnect took to long to show in my inbox for me to validate myself. I tried 2 times every morning weekend, after 6 days of trying (3 weeks) I finally got the email before the 5 minutes was up. Then on weekend 4 uniconnect said I couldn't play the game. Reboot didn't work. The next day it did work. This is for a game I paid money for.
I don't / won't pirate because I also use my PC for work. I just won't buy the game from ubi. I am tired of playing and losing at DRM, especially since I know how to cheat to win.

my bad I misread your question, so I edited my response.
yes absolutely ridiculously yes so you have two drms. EA is this way, so is Rockstar. there may be more but I can't be for certain. If someone finds us and you don't understand what we're talking about, DRM "keeps people from pirating games'" so you can't just copy the game and give it to somebody. in my experience it usually keeps people who legally pay for the game from playing that game. now steam came along and made the DRM very palatable because it works better than if you just pirate it. I can't remember the last time I spun steam up and it didn't work. now let's flash back towhen I knew people that pirated. we got this new game spore from EA. the people that pirated the games didn't have DRM so on release day they were playing the game and the people that paid for the game couldn't play the game because the DRM server on EA was overwhelmed, this is a worst experience than piratin g.
so back to my original answer you have steam DRM which keeps you from prioriting the game then you have the publisher who also has DRM and their DRM is usually awful. not only that but it also breaks Family Sharing I think someone would have to let me know if I'm wrong on this.

Shame it's not part of the Steam bundle but $2 from Ubisoft is a no-brainer.

Anybody tried them out? Seems like the best way to play through them.
