This is a garbage deal and SD should be ashamed of posting it. This GPU was regularly cheaper in the past year, and new AMD gpus get revealed tomorrow.

These havent been in stock at all for a while now and also, the cards a rumored to be slightly faster than the 7900XT for $699 (Allegedly). This is an option to those who don't want the 9070(XT) such as myself

7900 GRE was as low as $520 around black friday with 2 games. The additional 10% tariff is in place, so 520 + 52 = $572. This is cheaper without the 2 games. The new Radeon 9070 has a price leak of $650 from Microcenter. It'll probably be 10-20% faster than the 7900 GRE in rasterization performance, and a lot more if you're interested in ray-tracing. The street price might be higher than $650, and that can make this 7900 GRE a better deal if that is the case for a price per frame value. I would wait and see, but this is not a bad deal overall.

Is this a legit retailer? This is on "special order" so not actually in stock.

9070 is cheaper than this and about 20% faster in 4k benchmarks from AMD, this GPU should be sub $500 to be considered and my original comment still stands

Can anyone find a less expensive 7900GRE available today? If not, then it's a good deal if you need one today.

6950xt is $520 and on par for gaming. But uses slightly more power.

With the announcement of the 9070 and 9070 XT, this card makes sense at about $450

Not expecting anyone to provide a parts list, but anyone care to throw a $$ guess to build a new mid level pc tower (i.e., 80% the power of a high end tower without getting too exotic such as liquid cooling, etc.) these days using a $500 video card? Haven't built a tower in 15 years for gaming but toying with the idea of doing so to run deepseek locally. Saw a video of a guy producing 25-50 tokens/sec on a Rasberry Pi using an external ~$1k Radeon card.

Maybe a Raspberry Pi would be the best option to keep cost down?

Thanks!
