Based on the preview video, Brotato looks like a modern version of the old arcade game Astroid. But instead of a plane shooting Astroids, it's a person swinging a sword towards enemies.
Looks like a modern version of Robotron 2048 actually. In asteroid the playing field is static and the ship moves.
I've never played robotron. But I'll have to look into that.

Im seeing brotato doesn't have coop on switch...
Wuttt. How?! ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
I just bought it. I'll see
EDIT: dang. you're right. I'm still glad I got it so my kid could play.. and still recommend it. hope they add co-op soon, though.

I researched that DLC will have coop, so you might not need to wait that long. But your son will be trained by then and easily beat you.
Oh awesome!

Honestly, I think the game is BETTER WITHOUT the DLC. The DLC on PC is harder, and more frustrating, because the item pool is diluted. I wish they would have done a true sequel instead of DLC.
And it's not like Asteroids, it's a "survivor" type game like Vampire Survivors, etc. Stupidly addictive though, very easy to waste a couple hours playing without noticing. "Successful" runs are basically a minimum of 25 minutes, and that's before Endless mode which can add another 10-15 for most players. (On most runs without specifically abusing mechanics and classes, I get to the low to mid 30's before being overrun).
