Google guides for dashcam installs, there are many.
Besides trying to figure out the optimal settings for exposure, it has done what I expected.
It has also given me some laughs because I can share the recordings with friends pretty easy using the wifi feature.
I have the parking kit installed and a rear camera. It's been a good solution for us, but like everything, it needs maintenance and a quality endurance SD card.

Simply disconnect the power from the mirror and connect it to the splitter and reconnect the mirror from the splitters connector. Then connect the dashcam to the other connection on the splitter which is a typical USB connection.

If they're not all capacitor based, I would only get ones that have a capacitor and not some sort of battery inside them. At least if you live anywhere hot. Also always use an endurance micro SD card in them, I think that's half the problems people have at least are microSD related.

Was very disappointed with their "warranty". I'm stuck using an out of focus front cam, because they constantly change models, form factors, shapes, and sensors. I like their cams otherwise, but my one CS experience was not that great.
My car's fuse system is weird, and when I originally tried setting up the ACC fuse tap (at night), the headlights were the only fuses I found that worked as expected when I turned the ignition power on and off. However, I didn't realize that because I was installing this at night, my car's light sensor was activating the headlight fuse. When I went driving in the daytime, the dashcam started toggling between parking/recording mode everytime my lights went on/off in a tunnel or covered area, lol. I ended up having to dig behind the fuse box and find a "remote signal" wire to tap the ACC wire into for proper on/off with the ignition switch. Hope this helps someone.
I use obd port adapter dual usb-a for 2 cameras. Parking mode seems to work properly for me. One of my cams only has 24 hour parking mode, and viofo is 48 hours. After 24-48 hours they stop recording. On the plus side my car battery doesn't die. I wish viofo had 24/7 parking or there was a way to restart cameras to extend parking recording.
