Then they should have said: "sorry, price mistake" instead of lying to us. That's the part that actually bothers me. The lying part and the fraudulent part.
Making mistakes is okay. Own up to it. Do not lie about it. This is basic human decency 101.
They almost have to ship everything. If they cancel, potentially thousands of orders, they would have a large defect on eBay and, in turn, kill their account that they heavily rely on.
The orders just get cancelled in eBay and I've seen cases where eBay won't allow the buyer to leave feedback to keep the seller reputation.
Just got shipping notifications for all my stuff almost 70lbs of tools in 4 different packages 🤣 They lost so much money on this the shipping alone probably wiped out the amount they charged me for the stuff.

That doesn't change the fact that eBay runs off of a defect system. Too many defects could destroy any account. I'm not saying someone might not have a phone to an account executive that see them right but as I see it and as it's playing out they almost have to ship everything to prevent higher eBay seller rates or possibly losing their eBay account in some cases.
Interestingly my payment went though and show up on my credit card as complete, but no update on shipping. I thought the payment confirmation only happens when a seller confirms.
