I have one for my PS5, no issues with the 8-9 games played on it.
Solid drives, I've been using these without issue on multiple machines
As long as it is gen4, speed doesn't matter. It will work well enough. I have a gen3 speed gen4 SSD and it works just fine.

Is this a good drive to add to a laptop via USB for game storage? Unfortunately can't add internal storage.

Is this MSI 2 TB better than Samsung 990 EVO Plus 1TB?
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DHLFW...asin_title

I purchased the Samsung last Thursday, and I'm trying to decide which one is better? The price is about the same.

PS: This will be for my PC. Some light gaming etc.

We have of these, bought several years ago. Used on an Xbox as external storage most of its life, but I just moved it into a new laptop as a second drive. It benches a bit lower than the one 1TB that came with it. In real life I doubt I'd notice.
