What I love most about this game is how the world adapts and responds to you, taking note of how you play and adapting to you. There's an entire system dedicated to turning badguys into boss units, giving those boss units a memory of your past interactions and new strengths and weaknesses, plus a system that gives you the means to discover these strengths and weaknesses and hunt these guys down in a whole organic, dynamic world.

Be aware there is only 1 difficulty and the start might be too much for some gamers starting out.
I'd compare it to Assassin's Creed, Batman, God of War 3 in the gore, stealth and basic mechanics. The gf wanted to try something similar to the above mentioned games but she only recently went from easy to normal difficulty. I might get her to revisit it after her Batman kick ends (going through the Arkham series and Telltale, but then probably going through Telltale TWD and The Last of Us Part 1&2)
The follow-up was disappointing - not a "bad" game necessarily, but definitely a failure to capitalize on the promise of the cliffhanger ending of the first IMO. I say this only so you can temper your expectations because, one more time, Shadow of Mordor is an absolute fkkn banger.
