Nice for the price; I'm a Gerber fan since I was a baby. In this case, the celebrity endorsement and his mark on the handle and sheath kinda kills it for me. It's hard to imagine EDC'ing a knife with a TV personality's name splayed all over it. Maybe it's just a me thing.

In full disclosure, I listed a Martha Stewart cleaver earlier today that prominently displays her name on the blade corner. For some reason in the kitchen it's not an issue.

Any buyer experience with thatdailysteal? This is a Gerber knife that is frequently faked on direct from China websites, which (combined with the price) makes me a bit skeptical.

I recently bought some MREs from those guys and they substituted a lesser product than what was pictured and described. The return was easy but it left a bad impression with me. At least returns are easy if it's not legit.

Fyi this knife is sold at the dollarama and the local deal thread had a hefty discussion whether or not it is a legitimate product. For 5 cad not really an issue, i picked one up anyway for the camping box.

Buyer beware! I ordered one of these a couple years back from this company, and it was absolutely a fake they sent me. Once I showed them a picture of a real one vs what they sent me, they immediately refunded my money.

You'd think they would fake an item with a higher price. I bought a Bear Grylls Swiss Army style knife from Amazon a few years back, not sure if it's legit or not. I know Amazon sometimes has problems with fakes as well. I do know it's one of the worst knives I've ever bought.

Recycling is good for the environment.

Personally I think it was apple juice.

So what were the differences between the 2? I'm genuinely curious, thank you!

Seems like you're pretty much guaranteed to get a fake. Ugh. If anyone knows of a decent $20ish knife for casual hiking and stuff please share.

Youre not getting a $9 gerbrer knife. This is a promo so mr fake survival show can put his name on a few thousand units and a few cents in his pocket because selling out is all its about.
