SHOWCASEGW takes off $9.45
I have only had mine for about a week but have put it through a few tests. It works awesome for small jobs, cleaning the garage, sidewalks, decks, drying the car, blowing light snow off the car etc. I can't comment on wet leaves because I haven't encountered that yet. But I will say that the battery life is incredibly impressive and surprised me. I used it for about 10 minutes off and on with the occasional turbo boost and the battery is still about 80-90%. This is with a quick dry on the car, blowing out the front porch, blowing out the garage, clearing the sidewalk etc. It's definitely not the most powerful but also not weak like some others I have tried that were worse than the exhaust port of a shop vac haha.
If you aren't doing big jobs then this is a great deal!

I have the 80v version and I'm very happy with it, not sure how much of a hit 40 vs. 80, however it's built very well.
I have 80V and that's a lot of power. It can move small rocks.

2.5a battery = 4 minutes. Look for bigger batteries on eBay. I get my Ryobi ones there & they are cheap off brand.
What are you expecting at this price? Walmart's Hart blower is $88 and Home Depot's Ryobi blower is $79 and both are only 20V with 2.0 Ah battery and only have 250 CFM. This is a very good deal!

This is a killer deal. Around Black Friday I got their 40V 500 CFM Cordless Battery Leaf Blower w/ 2.5Ah Battery & Charger [greenworkstools.com] for $104, including a shoulder strap [greenworkstools.com].

This deal is on the 450CFM instead of 500, but I've been very happy with it for clearing driveway, etc. I've used in the yard but found for some leaves, a rake was just more efficient. This is my first yard and first blower, so I don't have much to compare it to, but at $54, I'd jump on this. You can't get the battery alone for this price.
2 AH battery starts at 75 (also sold out), so this is a pretty good deal alone if you only want the battery and/or charger. Factory Greenworks batteries work better than generics, in my experience.

I have a Skil 40V blower with a 2.5a battery and it lasts a lot longer than 4 minutes.

Great price. As others have stated, buying this deal for just the battery is a decent deal. Another additional to my small 40V collection. The GreenWorks hedge trimmer and string trimmer have been rock solid for 3 or 4 years. Zero problems. Both have ample power for 1/4 acre lot on a single charge of the 2.5a battery. Thanks OP !!

The crazy thing to me is, how can they sell the tool and a 2.5ah battery for less than the price of a replacement battery? That is my issue with the Skil 40V blower I have. I paid under 100 for it but I can't find a new battery for much less on its own.

They also have the string trimmer (tool only) on sale for $59.99. Any thoughts on adding this to get free shipping? https://www.greenworkstools.com/p...ed-bst4000
Every battery operated yard tool company over-estimates their product's effectiveness at the cost of your convenience. You really should buy up above their recommendations.

If you have a tiny micro lawn and you just need to get through a little grass it would probably be fine.

To compare, I have 2/3 acre with plenty of fence line and curb. With the 14" brushless trimmer I need about 10AH to trim and edge, and the edger attachment will require battery cooldowns. My gas trimmer will deal with the job no problem. The trimmer with a 5ah battery will do the grass only no problem.

If anybody buys this and is new to GW, all the off-brand batteries suck. They don't last long and seem to over-inflate their stats. The batteries sold by GW are expensive, but at least they are reliable. Don't mess with the off-brand stuff.

Kits are loss leaders that get you into the ecosystem. So long as you are building up your collection of tools, it's probably better to buy kits and get more batteries to go with the tools.

I almost moved over to Ryobi 40v, but it was cheaper for me to buy new batteries than replace the trimmer, hedge trimmer, chainsaw and pole saw.

It's the same with the sales and marketing of inkjet printers. They can afford to give the printers away and make the money on consumables.

Got mine today and I noticed the battery is dated Apr 2022 so it has almost three years of shelf life already. I wonder if I should be concerned...

It may not last very long, but I assume you still have the original warranty so hopefully, it will die, and you can get a fresh battery before the warranty ends.

Does this tool use the G-Max 40V battery? Or it uses the old gen 1 non G-max battery?

Is battery G-Max battery? G-Max battery is much better and last longer.
