I've been looking for another jump starter to go into a third car and was debating whether to wait for a price drop on a super capacitor model that would not rely on the health of the lithium battery (which can deteriorate in the future), but these models now run about $100. So, at this price point, I may bite since that 74Wh battery it comes with can be useful over the next few years if I don't need the jump starter for 5+ years.
Any thoughts, opinions on this?

It's not the type of capacitor jump starter you're talking about that charges from a car battery though. This one charges from a tool battery. That way tool batteries that I always have and regularly use in my truck can be relied on instead of a jump starter that's been hidden away for a long time.

It's not the type of capacitor jump starter you're talking about that charges from a car battery though. This one charges from a tool battery. That way tool batteries that I always have and regularly use in my truck can be relied on instead of a jump starter that's been hidden away for a long time.

They do not usually have batteries built-in but can charge from what little charge is left in your car battery, or some will charge from a separate lithium battery pack.
