About this title:
NEVER GIVE UP! NEVER SURRENDER! Celebrating 25 years, GALAXY QUEST comes to 4K Ultra-HD for the first time in spectacular HDR-10 and Dolby Vision and dynamic Dolby Atmos sound, a new Filmmaker Focus with director Dean Parisot, and hours of legacy special features. Years after cancellation, the stars of the television series Galaxy Quest cling to their careers. When a distressed interstellar race mistakes the show for "historical documents," lead actor Jason Nesmith (Tim Allen) and his crew of has-beens are unwittingly recruited to save the alien race from a genocidal warlord. Featuring an all-star ensemble, including Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman, Tony Shalhoub, Sam Rockwell, Daryl Mitchell, Justin Long and Rainn Wilson, GALAXY QUEST is a hilarious adventure that boldly goes where no comedy has gone before.

I did love this movie, it was a very well done Star Trek spoof, but I'm not really interested in giving Tim Allen any money.

I do tend to get sucked into watching it whenever I find it on TV, but who really needs a 4K copy? Stick Out Tongue Maybe if it was something with the latest CGI effects and you're playing it on a deluxe home theater...

And I'm going to not buy four just to cancel yours out.
You would have to return 4 that someone else bought to make that work... the impact to doing nothing when nothing was going to be done anyway... is nonexistant. Same thing that video game makers are learning about the whiners on twitter that don't actually ever buy video games anyway.

This one did already look pretty great on blu-ray but this version does get the three aspect ratios correct which was a minor problem with the previous blu-ray. I only have it on DVD so I'm probably going to grab a copy. Too bad it isn't the steelbook on sale but Amazon would probably destroy it during shipping anyway.

Yeah not sure what happened, but the sales seem to be becoming more rare... and the prices not nearly as low. Even the 4k discs that have been out since UHD was a thing that almost everyone on SD probably has by now given some of the sales in the past dropping them to like $7.

Amazon has been slow playing sales on REALLY good movies over the last week or two it seems like, but the prices are like $17 instead of $35, as opposed to $10 instead of $30 like the good old days. I dunno WTF is going on, it isn't like these discs are laid by chickens...

I am trying to be patient in hopes they go down more... but a couple I couldn't pass up, like this one.

Yeah I know Frown, November / December is normally when my collection grows the most. I miss the competition from Best Buy when they carried UHDs, it sucks that they don't any more, I think that has something to do with the higher prices... no more auto price matching from Amazon. Also, GRUV used to accept that "first purchase" coupon for every order I placed, and I didn't do any multiple account hacks or anything... but that stopped a few months ago too Frown.

What happened is that Best Buy stopped carrying them entirely and places like Target and Walmart have stopped selling in store (or severely reduced stock), so fewer sales and less competition and incentive to lower prices. And Amazon price drops were often just price matching their competitors. There are just not many avenues for downward pressure on prices anymore, unfortunately.
