I loved the show. Too bad the writer's strike in 2008 basically killed it.

Dead Like Me and Wonderfalls are two other wonderful shows by Bryan Fuller. Pushing Daisies never quite clicked for me like those two, felt like it tried too hard.

Such a fun show and clever writing. Come on - a pie shop called The Pie Hole? Just the beginning.

Loved Pushing Daisies (own both seasons on Blu-ray) and Dead Like Me, but Wonderfalls floats on the reputation that it was great because people saw only four episodes before it was canceled. I saw the whole series and the quality dove precipitously after the first half of the season. But as Meat Loaf said...

Huh, didn't feel that way to me. And yeah, that cancellation hit hard. I was one of the ones that signed the petition back in the day to get the full season released on DVD. Oh well, that is why there are so many shows, we can each pick and choose what we like. Wink As for Fuller, I still can't believe he made Star Trek: Discovery. Then again, there WAS the Dead Like Me movie, not sure which I dislike more.

No. Wonderfalls was great. And definitely not based on the first four episodes. In fact, I'm pretty sure episode 5 was originally supposed to be episode 2, but the network wanted them to add more episodes in between, so episodes 2-4 were network mandated. And even they, apparently, were broadcast out of order. I even remember them running promos for the next episode when episode 1 aired for an episode that never aired. That episode ended up being episode 5. The network was really to blame for the mess of that show. But there was a lot of brilliance in it.

Well, the Dead Like Me movie wasn't made by Fuller. He was left out of it. So that was issue number one with that.

I also really loved this show. The BluRay release I bought actually has a final episode which wraps up the whole show. Does this contain it as well? It was an episode which never aired.
