I would agree with you but strangely enough these keyboards have saved my wrists. I'm a software engineer and have practically lived on the computer for like 25yr. Everyone I work with and almost everyone I know has either bad carpal tunnel or other problems. The main difference is that I have always used either a laptop keyboard or one of the low profile ones like the k320 or MX mini. Maybe it's not for everyone and maybe I'm only fine because I never got used to something else but I'm lucky enough to have no problems. I attribute it to the back of my arms down to my fingers always being mostly straight vs the fingers angling up that always happens with "regular" keyboards. Ergonomic ones are probably also great as they usually rotate your hands and align your shoulders better. Not saying your suggestion is wrong, and I know I could just be a lucky edge case, but I'll never swap from low profile to ergo. I have kind of met halfway on the mouse with an MX master 3s. It's not the damn near vertical alginment that comes with ergo mice compared to horizontal with standard mice and to be honest I only got it because the buttons were so quiet.

The other large factor might just be that people put a lot of pressure on their wrists? Not sure if the keyboard palm rests help more because they soften the pressure people apply or because they raise your wrist so the back of your hands/fingers aren't so elevated compared to the forearm but I think the straighter alignment is what's saved my wrists.
Keep in mind that you can recycle an old PC accessory at Best Buy and get the 20% off coupon too. So that'd be like $64 and tax.

Ugh, waiting for Amazon to catch up with this price. I tried using the "feedback" button and input the URL and price, but it's complaining about invalid URL. Do they block product links to walmart?

To add, you're 100% spot on, I've always used very low profile keyboards and have no issues. It's important to have a spacious desk to let your forearms rest and also a chair with arm rests you can adjust. If your arms are rested and keyboard is low profile, there will be very little pressure on your wrists. I'm no doctor but I'm sharing what I think can contribute to everyone who sits behind a keyboard for long periods.

K860 is the bomb! Though these like others have suggested are really good too. Sometimes there isn't space for an ergo

I have one the new model with bolt and bt. Never use it. Went back to my cheapo $15 keyboard. Overpriced overhyped.

Sounds like you should sell it Smilie

More? Where?

"Advanced" looks older/obsolete to me, if it ever was an actual name.

I didn't buy it was a gift so i just keep it as a backup. My cheapo $15 kb+mouse is so good it's been going for 5+ yrs. I would buy another one in case it dies but i can't hoard.

I'm also a software engineer, and I remember I started to have strained wrists when using the Dell keyboards from work. And I was around 27 or so at the time. I was also starting to get into mechanical keyboards at the time and switched to one. It was a standard 100% keyboard from Das. I also brought it to work. Then thinking back, my wrist pain went away and I completely forgot that it was an issue in the first place.

I'm no doctor or anything either, but I started to wonder if it was related to the amount of pressure needed for each key press. For people that do a lot of typing all day, that stuff adds up. I still haven't had any issues to this day.
