This has been this price for the last month, so no need to rush if you're thinking about it.

This uses a Li-Ion battery that are prone to cooking in hot weather. I wouldn't use one of these in a state with hot summers.

While the rear camera is nice, it's not a simple install and it's arguably redundant, given that the dashcam has a rear facing camera.

With 3 cameras recording simultaneously in HD+ to a single SD card, that's gonna take a really good SD card to keep up with it. I suspect that a lot of the negative reviews relate to the included SD card. That's said, many of the negative reviews relate to the camera completely dying. I'm guessing there's a video encoder chip in it that runs super hot and is thus prone to burn-out.

You can save up to $10 if you're prepared to chance one from Amazon Resale.

This BAEASU brand looks like it's attempting to ride on the coat-tails of the BaseUS brand. It looks like this is the only product they sell on Amazon.

Sounds like good price but (a) not Starvis and (b) has battery vs. Capacitor

Had a +46 score in November on SD.

Whether it's this or another brand, I very much recommend buying a dash cam for your car. Also I recommend getting one that's at least 1440p to help read license plates. I went with a 4K one myself but this one has great reviews on Amazon and is half the price I paid for mine.

Its super easy. Look for how to install dash cam at Youtube. The problem is when the cable is too long. Its hard to hide them at the front.

Take it to a shop. In Florida it ran me $100 to get it professionally installed.

Glad to see more external rear cameras being offered. Maybe by the time my A119V3 dies, or I replace it, the water resistant/external rear cameras will be another generation or two along. Always been unsure how much the camera will actually "see" having to look past an 8ft bed. As far as this deal goes unfortunately for me living in Florida and using dashcams for 2-5+ years before replacing, not sure I can go back to one that has a battery. Plus the battery is mostly useless as I hardwire my dashcams to an always on fuse location so they always have power. If I get hit hard enough to knock the camera off the windshield I've got far greater problems than my final moments being recorded.

That's not very slick of you. Everyone else on here is kind of a cheap skate.

pretty poor argument

the rear camera is mainly for recording the inside of the car, doubt you would get any footage in a rear crash worth using

I just zip tied the excess together and tucked it under my dash. It shouldn't be hard at all.
