Bought this 2 weeks ago. I had a Fitbit charge 5 before. Seems like Fitbit doesn't like the battery to be completely drained. I had 2 died that way. I was also annoyed by some of the Fitbit notification features so I decided to give this fit 3 a try. This Samsung fit 3 has a lot of features but they were put together in a not very organized way. For example, I check my heart rate quite frequently when I'm working out. If I also have music playing, there is a little icon that let me control the music on my phone. The problem is that icon is right on top of the heart rate reading for some clock faces. Anyway, battery life is very good and it has all the features that I wanted. At this price, it's a real steal.

How's the battery life with all day and night (sleep tracking) wearing?
Been using one for over about a year and usually have to charge around once a week. At most, twice, but seldom the case.

It's also great to have to warn you that there is an incoming call if you're away from your phone.

No GPS on these. Probably better off going for amazfit if you're looking for a budget fitness watch.
Any specific model ?

Wife and I use ours for sleep tracking every day. I charge mine while showering, and never run out. If I don't charge for a few days, it doesn't matter... I have gone almost 10 days without a charge. I seem to average about 10% per day.
My man just admitted to not showering for 10 days

It's called charging it every time you shower so it maintains a charge. Not letting it drain to nothing and then charging.

Haha... nice one! Big Grin

To clarify, I don't ALWAYS charge when I shower. I've gone on work trips where I didn't bring the charger for the Fit3, because I knew I didn't need it... and it lasted for the week without issue, and then I just continued without charging to see how long it would last beyond that.

As I think I mentioned, I get about 10% charge usage per day...

How large is this compared to, say, an Apple watch 42mm or a Galaxy Watch 7 40mm?

I just clicked on this link. Yes, that is what I bought too, so says Amazon. I paid $45 in November.

I have nothing against this watch -- wearing it now. Battery is great too, draining around 10% a day or so without always-on screen.

That said, I think this price range of $45 to $50 is pretty normal?

What if you want to give it to kids w/o smartphones? Would it still be able to work as a clock/step-counter or smartphone is a must accessory for them to operate?

You probably need the phone for initial setup. After that, it should work as a stand alone. Your probably need the phone again if you want to customize, turn on additional features or update the watch software in the future however.

And send funding and when/where you are sleeping to the CCP?
The fit line is made in China.

Xiaomi Mi Bands offer excellent value for the price. I have the Mi Band 8, and my wife uses the Mi Band 9, both typically available for under $30 on Ali.
I would recommend either over Fitbit watches, as Fitbits have been known to suffer from battery failure issues, my wife had two fail in 3 years, over $200 wasted.

The biggest advantage of Samsung's smartwatches would likely be their seamless integration with Samsung devices, making them a better choice for those already in the ecosystem.

Now, if these had a feature to prevent me from forgetting my watch when I leave the house, I'd be sold.

HR and O2 sensor while sleeping seems inaccurate. Integrates with my Samsung phone well. Help me with reading texts and reminders.

But the data on a Samsung isn't held/owned in China by a government/communist run organization. Totally different.
