I've never had problems with this mulch, and I go out of my way to get it. I know it's not great compared to others, but this comes in at half the price typically when you get it on sale, and I personally like the look of it

My termite guy actually recommended the rubber mulch to deter termites. I've been debating about getting it too. It's currently on sale for $6 per bag (but it's only .8cu ft) so it's definitely more expensive, but the color is supposed to last 12 years. For being old, used tires I keep thinking it would be a lot cheaper. Not yet.

Couldn't stand this mulch. Got it last year. Came with an ant infestation along with random metal parts and other well disguised hidden garbage

Quality has been good the past couple years in the Southeast. I've had bad batches with Scotts so I just go with the cheapest. I would bet money they're all made by the same regional supplier.

This is accurate. $2.50 is decent enough if you want it now, but this will drop to $2 once or twice before the season is up.
