I would take a 16gb 512gb M2 over any of the other options. It blows my mind apples standard storage of 256gb has not changed in over a decade. What the heck!!

Will this go lower? Was going to pull the trigger on a Win gaming laptop then I saw this. Looking at the 15.3" and apparently Xbox cloud gaming works with Safari.

I had a 13.6" Air before but screen space was too small for me.

Unlikely to happen anytime soon. It took best buy almost a year to get to this price and Amazon and other retailers are yet to follow.
It was only this price via brandsmart a couple of weeks ago.

In a time when everything is going up in price, great tech keeps getting cheaper and cheaper. I have this m2 16/256 laptop, bought from Amazon for $750 and it's blazing fast for routine use ( web applications, Microsoft suite , etc) and has great battery life.

Yes, in 9-12 months. This is likely as good as it gets. The M4 Air is on sale, and they LOWERED the price vs the initial M3 price (on top of the announcement last year to have 16 GB as a minimum) which is why we are seeing this great deal. But: we'll probably see more deals at this price, from more retailers. Best Buy is just acting fastest.
