It only takes one cell. A 5amp/hr is the only one I had go bad. I wish I had known about the 3yr warranty as it was only a few months old.

wish it was the newer powerpack 8AH. love how those display the battery charge indicator for a second after you release the button.

Can someone answer me this, why do we see more Dewalt brand always on sale and relatively cheaper than Milwaukee? I feel the batteries and tools are constantly going on sale for yellow. Now I don't have a loyalty line as I use both. Can anyone shed light into this? Dewalt tools I feel are contractor grade too.

I had a 9ah go bad. Dewalt replaced it but it took 6 weeks because it was on backorder.

there were ton of milwaukee sales from october to january. i paid $200 for 8ah + 12ah FORGE batteries. not these old POS samsung cell batteries like these batteries, but the new tabless FORGE stuff. that was available from HD, murdoch's, acme, maxtools, etc at different times.

i also got m12 5ah high output batteries for $29.50 each from clarks tools. that was not a typo, you read that right. $29.50 each. they were on sale for $59 and milwaukee had a rebate going on where they just sent you a second free battery just like it.

milwaukee rebates were insane this year. i bought $800 worth of Milwaukee M18 fuel tools, and as the rebate i got $1100 SDS rotary hammer kit. model 2718-22HD. $800 spend and free $1100 kit. actually crazy

there were TONS of fire sales that lasted months. i found them all here. i don't know where you were looking.

Are these the 8ah that have been troublesome in the past?
