I have 3 of them these outside year round and they have been great

1 - holds a 20lb propane tank
1 - holds all my BBQ gear
1 - holds kids toys

A couple of tips if possible put a couple of bricks under them if there going to be siting on bare ground

Use silicone weather caulking and caulk all the seams (inside and outside) this keeps 100% of the bugs out. You'll have to repeat this every other year.

I've had mine three or four years now and they look brand new, 0 issues with them coming apart.

I have this for storing a hose - super flimsy, worth around $30 max.

As the other user suggested, this is flimsy. Mine comes apart periodically and is a pain in the ass.

Could someone please adv if this is a good place to set up a small FOSI amp and run the wires, or will it be too hot in there? Do I need to build a little port and install a small fan to air out?

Looks so much better, I will get this for my receiver, I'll build a small window to ventilate it in the back and a small shelf using hot glue.
Thanks again!

I've owned both and would recommend the one from Lowe's. Both deck boxes have been kept outside, and I haven't had any major issues with either. However, the Rubbermaid box has more gaps. While this hasn't affected its weatherproofing, it has let in more bugs than I'd like.

As far as I can tell, the Lowe's box has no gaps and can also double as a seat.

I've had one of these for about 4 years and it's been amazing. It flew away in the super strong wind one night (above 40 mph) wind and fell apart. I found and reassembled all the pieces and we have a bungee cord now that keeps it in place and we've never had a problem since. The only thing I'd change is to get a larger size as we get a few packages sometimes.
