a metric ton of people who aren't in your little bubble. Probably. Lots of industries still use nothing but SAE fasteners and that's not changing anytime soon.

Most hardware stores I go to have way more SAE hardware than they do metric. I'm using SAE sockets to drive the SAE hex lags that my hardware store sells. There's no metric options available for concrete wedge anchors either, none that I've ever seen. Hex tapcons, SAE too. HVAC, electrical? Need lots of SAE fasteners and tools to install them. If I need to source hardware for a project TODAY I'm just going to buy what's available.....

You should start working on stuff besides just whatever you deal with on your car or whatever. Pretty sure most trailers are SAE stud/lugnuts still, so...anyone who does anything more than your shadetree work is simply dealing with both.
Solid deal if you need these. If I hadn't bought two sets of the deep impacts on sale from Harbor Freight a few weeks ago I would be all over this.

Harbor freight can be a really good deal too if you find them on sale. Right now they're $28.99 which is NOT a good price. I found them on sale for $20 and then was able to use a coupon on one to get it down to something like $17. Although HF is less pieces overall they include larger sizes, which in my opinion adds a lot of value. Most people have basic mechanic kits that already include all of the standard smaller sizes so getting those a second time doesn't add much value. A single larger size deep impact socket can be $8-15 so getting them as part of the HF kit is nice.

Again - if you don't have something like this already though this deal is very legit.
Millions of people who own and fix up older American cars and trucks. Also lots of heavy equipment is SAE. I use them every day working on classic American cars.

I got lucky and bought the last one at my HD for $115. The next day the deal came out for $54. Management was hesitant but, but allowed me to return and buy at this price. Both the person who walked it to the register (due to theft) and the cashier had a difficult time carrying because it was so heavy. I own many brands but my favorite has always been Husky. The cheaper Husky tools on the center aisle are hit and miss, but the more costlier ones have never failed me. Their warranty is no fuss, you give them the broken one and swap it out with the latest model, sometimes even the next model up. For this price I would have bought two for convenience. This is truly a slick deal! I was happy when I got it for $115, then I felt like I stole it when I paid $54.

This is going to sound stupid. But compared to other deals/quality, how "slick" is this deal?
Edit: Also how good is the warranty?
Have the 3/8" version (paid $44) and the quality is good, lifetime warranty.. For $54, it's a no-brainer if you need a set.

Thanks OP. I was able to grab the last one in my area. The unit was still in the brown shipping box on the top shelf. $54 in Philadelphia, PA.

I use standard 65% of the time. Cars are mostly metric now. Everything else is mostly still SAE.

I highly doubt this.

You may doubt, but you'd be wrong. SAE is used in a large number of things. Simple Google search would yield such a fact.

Good deal. Hope I snag one!

If you work on cars more than your basic oil changes, older American cars, you will use these. You act like nothing has a 3/4 or 15/16 nut anymore. I can use this on ALL of my cars...some mixed metric and standard, but, I still use SAE
