Just wait till the G5 officially launches very soon: preorders are live in the UK at the same retail price as the G4 did when it was first released.
If 200-600 dollars in savings is nothing for you then this is good advice, otherwise: HOLD THE LINE!!

Not saying it will 100% happen again this year … but keep an eye out because the G models are much more likely to go on deep clearance like that due to the lower sales and retailers needing to clear stock.

On the downside I'm not sure how the 5 year panel warranty will work since they are stopping producing MLA panels. Where would replacement panels be sourced from in a few years? IDK but I guess cross that bridge if you need to, like all consumer electronics. At lease you have some protections and they can always give you a new TV at a discount, if they feel like it.
Maybe when the G6 comes out the left over G4 will be cheaper !!
