Nope . You pay $364 only to order it . They will pay you $25 per month for 12 months if you stay with ST at $65 month plan . So you will be paying $40 for that plan . This deal is same as straight talk website .

This was my sale tax in California when I pre-order from ST website:

These are my sale tax from Walmart website:

In California the difference is almost $40, still a good deal but not as sweet as pre-order one.
That doesn't make sense. Why did they NOT charge sales tax on $299 phone price on the Pre-Order?

I'm not familiar with eSIM. If I only have the plan for one month and have the phone unlocked after the second month, how do I use a different number from another carrier? Thanks.
Once you sign up for service with another carrier, delete the ST esim from your phone and add a new eSIM from your new carrier. They will either send you the eSIM details in a QR code, or they will ask you for your IMEI information and associate the eSIM on their end, and once you go and add an eSIM on your phone it will automatically download it over wifi and activate. I've done both methods pretty seamlessly.

Yep, activate the device with the 1 month of service, than wait 60 days for it to unlock and you can use it on any carrier.
Does the phone need to have active ST service for the full 60 days, or can we cancel at some point during the free month then just wait out the rest of the 60-day timer?

So no need to pay for any service, just wait 60 days after purchasing to unlock. What is the unlock process for straight talk?
You need to activate the phone (with the included 30-day service plan). No need to pay 2nd month, and the phone will be automatically unlocked 60 days after activation.

phonearean says not to upgrade from 13 to 16e: www.phonearena.com/reviews/iphone-16e-vs-iphone-13_id7020 [phonearena.com] For me, I need and want a sim card for ease of switching. If using the 16e in another country and you damage the phone, you will play hell trying to download an eSim to a different phone and that phone must be esim capable. A sim card makes it quick and easy to use in a different phone.
That's true. If a phone has no sim card tray, it may be unable to switch to the other carrier who may only provide the physical sim card.

Continuous service not required for the full 60 days. What matters is activating the device with the plan paid for at time of purchase. That will start an unlock timer for the device that will auto unlock the device once 60 days have passed (usually day 59). Recently on an iPhone 13 deal with straight talk I ported out the numbers about halfway through the 1st month and both phones unlocked as expected. Just make sure after activation and creating your straight talk account that auto-pay is toggled off. Should be off by default but doesn't hurt to verify. Then service will cutoff on its own after 30 days if you do not want to keep their service active.

Simply activate the phone with included 30-day plan, and the phone will be automatically unlocked after 60 days. No need to pay for 2nd month or cancel anything (unless you gave ST your CC for autopay).

Where are you getting these specs from? Everywhere I read says no mmWave support. It only supports 5G C-band but not 5G mmWave N260/261 bands.

Didn't read all the comments. You only need one months service and then wait for unlock. Do not need to purchase service every month until unlock. Seen mis information in this thread and the razr thread. I know iPhone as I'm using one now on visible. I am unsure with androids.

How so ? A ai button ? I'm 43 yrs old I don't really care to use a ai button? 13 has a better camera . I believe better battery life also but don't quote me on that. I got 3 months service vs 1 . Out the door cost 16e was 400 one month service , I payed 240$ 13 and 3 months service.
Significantly better CPU and modem, wider band 5G, better (yes it's single/hybrid) rear cam, USB-C instead of icky lightning port, better screen/PPI, better audio and Apple is starting to significantly downgrade phone quality starting around the 5 year mark, meaning with iOS 21 and beyond, the 13 will be slowed to a crawl if the trend continues. Yes, that's a real thing and they do it via software updates to encourage people to upgrade. Shady as hell, but it's the reality of the situation.

Not being sarcastic. What's so good about having the physical sim? The only time I ever see my sim card is when I'm switching to a new phone every 2-3 years.

Where did you port to? I was thinking of using these numbers for the total wireless deals on the 15 and 15 plus but it was OOS in hours.

Doesn't look like you can walk away with an unlocked device after 60 days, you got to stay in platinum unlimited active plan for 12 months.
