I was waiting patiently waiting for this phone to come out about 6 months . Total wireless and straight talk had this online last week with a pre order of about a month out by the time I caught the deals . I waited till Monday for instore total to have in stock . I ultimately decided to get the 13 in store. 13 has a better camera and was almost 150$ cheaper with 3 months service over 16e 1month. I was never planning on keeping the plan a year I just honestly needed a new phone and really liked the the se models. Phone unlocks in 60 days and I can put in my mint sim at that time for now I just call forward text and calls to my total number.

Yep, activate the device with the 1 month of service, than wait 60 days for it to unlock and you can use it on any carrier.

16e is just way better of a phone compare to the 13

This was my sale tax in California when I pre-order from ST website:

In California the difference is almost $40, still a good deal but not as sweet as pre-order one.

No one buying these phone deals for using the service, buy these and wait 2 months to use whatever carrier you want. And I don't know how can you say the 13 camera is better (not talking about ultrawide on 13) the MAIN camera on 16e is superior compare to the 13. Also the 16e has way better processor, 2x amount of RAM which matters a lot to a phone. The action button isn't only the AI button, you can map to do different things compare to the old toggle which can only do mute/ unmute
p/s: also I believe the iP13 deal only has 1 month of service for ~250, unless you're talking about deals that I don't know

16e is superior than 13 for sure, Action button, A18 chip vs A15 chip, 48 MP camera vs 12MP camera, 2x optical zoom, USB c charging, better battery, more RAM, crash detection, Find my via satellite. The only downside is no magsafe

The single 48mp camera on the 16e is better than the dual 12mp cameras on the 13. The 16e in every camera comparison I've seen takes better photos than a 13, It also has 10x digital zoom vs 5 on the 13.
