I just earlier today said I wouldn't trust BB open box or refurb, but here I am giving this one a shot. Hope I get lucky and it's a keeper. Seems to be a nice player at a great price. Thanks

You could scratch on a belt drive. I had belt drive DJ tables as a kid. But yeah, much better to get DJing turntables.

True, it is possible, but belt-driven turntables have a slower response time, making it take longer than a direct-drive to get back to the correct RPM/speed. Also, most belt-driven turntables don't come with a spherical stylus, which is recommended to prevent excessive wear on the needle and record when rotating the record backward.

I bought a lenovo laptop in openbox fair condition last September. It was in great condition for a great price. However after six months TouchPad stopped working. I opened a warranty case to Lenovo. They fixed and aent it back yesterday.

I knew BestBuy openbox items had full manufacturers warranty but I experienced this firsthand. So don't see a reason why you think BestBuy openbox items are unreliable. You can return them to any BestBuy if you don't like them after pickup. And if there is a problem there is warranty.
