It's a joke... In reference to the fact that Nvidia 50 series graphics cards no longer support PHYSX (32bit) which seriously tanks performance on older games that need it. ie: Batman games, Alice, Mafia games, Borderlands games, Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag, etc...

Batman Arkham Asylum (2009) 4k Max settings (9800x3d) gets:
- RTX 5080 gets 20-40 fps (with 9800x3d desktop)
- RTX 3060 gets 70s-80s fps (with 11800H laptop) One example that I found.

Worms Armageddon is the best version of this game and I used to play the hell out of this online back in the early 2000s. There used to be a ranking system for online matches and an amazing community for different, player made, game modes. Like rope races, battle races, matches where every attack has to be from a rope. Custom team names, custom sound files, custom flags, custom maps... This game was endless, and so much fun!

Played the hell out of this in high school. At this price its a no brainer. In for 1. Hopefully it runs well on the Steam deck.

there is still an active community of players who play player-invented game modes in organized tournaments for modes like bazookas & grenades, shopper, rope races, worm golf, etc. https://www.tus-wa.com/ WormNet is also still functional and active, though I will admit I've only played online with friends (as recently as six months ago). there are literally thousands of user-made maps you can download, and there are user-made patches for the game, too, that bring in new customization options and features that were introduced in the lesser Worms World Party.

I'm not gonna say this has a more active online community than whatever the latest Worms game is, but if you want to play this one, you'll find there are a surprising amount of other people who also do. and yeah, as others have said, this is widely considered the best Worms game.
